ImageFarningham is an unspoilt village which has retained many of its buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries.

The 13-15th century church has a Kentish tower and it has a Seven Sacraments octagonal font (15th century) and a mausoleum, perhaps erected by John Nash, to his father Thomas Nash who died in 1778. The History
The Pied Bull Inn in Farningham claims that their customers have heard some ghostly "sounds" - which may some basis in the history of the place.

Many years ago, one wall of this Inn was moved several feet so that the original foundations of the road now lie within the walls of the present Inn. Here, where the wall has been moved outwards, has been heard the sound of a coach-and-horses - so close that those who have heard the ghostly stampede have been convinced enough to jump out of the way! The coach-and-horses apparently run along where the old road lay.
